Metering Solutions Manufacturing Services Limited, has 20,580sqm state-of-the-art meter manufacturing facility based in Akwa Ibom State, is the largest in West Africa with the capacity to produce 3 million meters yearly on a three-shift pattern. The facility comprises an administration block, meter manufacturing/meter box enclosure/repair plant including warehousing and storage. It is staffed by a team of seasoned professionals who bring a pedigree of unequalled competence to the table, gleaned from time-tested local and international affiliations.

Launched by the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and top government functionaries in September 2017, our facility envisions providing genuinely local content solutions to the electricity metering hurdles affecting the Nigerian power sector. To achieve this laudable feat, the company currently employs over 200 staff in a ratio of 99% Nigerian participation to 1% foreign beyond local content specifications.

In the past one year, our manufacturing arm has supplied over 200,000 meters to the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHEDC) which distributes power to over 14 million people cutting across Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom.

In the short run, the facility is set to provide a minimum of 250,000 meters catering to the domestic and international markets. For the longer term, the company plans to assemble various models of electricity meters and accessories and meet the needs of not only the Western but also the entire African market from its Nigerian base.
